MIXED VIRAL INFECTIONS IN VEGETABLES IN UKRAINE

Aim. Screening of vegetable crops for mixed viral infections caused by 8 viruses, and evaluation relative share different combinations pathogens using serological methods plant virus diagnostics. Methods. Double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (DAS-ELISA) was performed detection antigens. Results. For this study, the samples from plants with virus-like symptoms were collected agroecosystems in 4 regions Ukraine during three vegetative seasons 2019-2021. Plant tested presence following viruses: cucumber mosaic (CMV), watermelon mosaiс 2 (WMV2), zucchini yellow (ZYMV), tomato (ToMV), tobacco rattle (TRV), potato Y (PVY), X (PVX), spotted wilt (TSWV). Among screened symptoms, viruses most common: CMV, WMV2 ZYMV, incidence rate 32%, 33% 29%, respectively. Apart monoinfected plants, several patterns shown typically induced two less commonly (CMV+WMV2+ZYMV). From these infections, five groups registered. Conclusions. In work, we have analyzed cucurbit solanaceous pathogens, established inducing field. Five demonstrated as such combinations: CMV+ToMV, CMV+PVY, CMV+WMV2, CMV+ZYMV, WMV2+ZYMV, CMV+ToMV being common plants. Also, there one group formed CMV+WMV2+ZYMV. CMV has been present every both families, Cucurbitaceae Solanaceae. The differed to 8%. presented results are important context ecology epidemiology diseases vegetables.
